About Vasari
An independent index of who made what, built from credited work.
Vasari lists creative projects and the people and studios credited on them. Each project page shows the credits as they were published, with a link to the page they came from, and each profile brings together everything a person or studio is credited on. So far: 71 projects, 745 creatives and 55 studios.
How credits are collected
- Credits come only from studios’ and creatives’ own pages: their portfolios and project write-ups.
- Our collector, VasariResearchBot, reads a site only when its robots.txt allows it, the site hasn’t opted out of text and data mining, and its terms don’t forbid automated access. It identifies itself and makes at most one request a second. How the collector works.
- Names and roles are copied exactly as published. Nothing is inferred, translated or corrected, and an unknown role stays unknown.
- Every credit links to the page it came from, and every image keeps a record of its original address.
- A credit says someone is named on a project. It doesn’t say where they work.
The editorial pick
Vasari collects more than it shows. A project appears here only once it has been picked, for its original point of view, execution and presentation. Collected projects that haven’t been picked stay off the site.
Removal and corrections
If you are credited on a project, or you are the studio that published it, and you want a project, a credit or an image removed or corrected, email removals@vasari.design with the page address and what should change. Removals are honoured within 7 days, and the source is excluded from future collection. More about removal.
Made by Refract
Vasari is made by Refract. Refract’s ownership is disclosed in the site footer and on this page.
Neutrality policy
- Refract’s own work is never ranked, boosted or favoured: not in the editorial pick, not in the order of projects and people, and not in search.
- The editorial pick is independent: it is made on the work alone. Being a Refract client, partner or competitor makes no difference to what is picked or where it appears.
